London, October 30 : Late singer John Lennon’s wife Yoko Ono has allowed filmmaker Sam Taylor-Wood to use the Beatles member’s famous solo track ‘Mother’ in her new film ‘Nowhere Boy’.
The movie set to release on December 26th follows the adolescent years of the ‘Imagine’ singer when he was living in bad terms with his mother.
Lennon was raised by his aunt Mimi after his mom Julia bequeathed him at the age of five.

London, Oct 20 : Japanese/American artist Yoko Ono has revealed that she loves wearing hot pants.
Ono is 76-year-old, but she still wears high heels and mini skirts as they make her feel young.
“I love wearing high heels, I love wearing silk stockings and I love wearing hot pants,” the Daily Express quoted her as saying.
“In those three, I feel like a Thirties tough girl. If I didn’t look in the mirror, I might just mistake myself for Rita Hayworth or Marlene Dietrich. How great is that?” she added. (ANI)

Washington, Sep 27 : John Lennon''s widow Yoko Ono has said that she wants to make music for another few decades.
The 76-year-old musician is currently "focusing" her creativity in preparations for a "few decades" of frenzied recording.
"I''m glad I didn''t die when I was 70. I haven''t done enough even now. It''s going to be fantastic. I don''t have another 50 years so I''m getting more focused because I really want to hammer it in,” Contactmusic quoted her as saying.

Washington, Sept 21 : Singer John Lennon's widow Yoko Ono has praised the new Beatles video game for creating "a world of peace".
The 76-year-old says that the new Beatles video game merges music and art to create amazing "healing vibrations".
"I think game is the second revolution. In the beginning they made a splash with their music; with the video game we''re going to create a planet of music and art," Contactmusic quoted her as telling Britain''s Observer newspaper.

Wellington, Sep 17 : Late Beatles member John Lennon and Yoko Ono's world famous bed-in for peace is set to be recreated in Nelson, 40 years after the couple staged it Amsterdam and Montreal.
The re-staging of the famous couple's stint in bed to promote peace will take place on September 21, on the steps of Nelson's Christ Church Cathedral.
Nelson actor Roger Sanders and his wife Bridget will be playing the part of Lennon and Ono, and they will give other people the opportunity to hop into the bed.

London, July 4 : John Lennon''s widow Yoko Ono has won a lawsuit in which a group of collectors questioned her rights to video footage capturing intimate moments of the former Beatles singer, who was murdered in 1980.
Ono's lawyer Jonathan Albano has said that a federal court in Boston, Massachusetts, last week ruled that his client was the rightful copyright holder of the video clips.

Washington, May 28 : Yoko Ono has been honoured with a key to Niagara Falls as part of a tribute to her and John Lennon's honeymoon visit to the city 40 years ago.
The Lundy's Lane Historical Museum in Ontario, Canada has come up with an exhibition to mark the city's tie to the pair's marriage after their post-wedding stop in 1969.
Ono, in a bid to express her gratitude, has donated footage of their Niagara Falls trip, featured in a video for Lennon's version of Stand By Me, reports Contactmusic.

After months of discussion, the legendary group''s songs have been licensed to appear in a special edition of Rock Band.
Speaking of the release, Ono said that the surviving bandmembers didn''t have any trouble in agreeing to the project.
