Percept aims to turn boxers to brandsUndoubtedly, cricket is the hot favourite of the corporate world in India, when it comes to betting their marketing moolah. But over the past some time, India Inc. has been optimistic about other sports and have shown significant interest in Hockey, boxing, football etc. And the most recent incident that endorses this fact is the Percept Ltd. signing five boxers in a three year sponsorship deal.

The talented and the lucky five are Vijender Singh, Dinesh Kumar, Suranjoy Singh, Jai Bhagwan and Balwinder Beniwal. The media and entertainment company has tagged these boxers as its exclusive talents.

For the next three years, Percept will act as their brand endorsement manager i. e. it will manage their image and market them as a suitable endorser to various companies scooting for brand endorsers.

In a press statement, the company said that these five talented boxers will become a name to reckon with in the Indian boxing history. Percept will be focusing on making these names a well known brand over a period of time.

The Joint Managing Director of Percept Ltd. Shailendra Singh stated that action and entertainment both are loved by Indian audience and boxing is a combination of both. The company is trying to cash-in on this.
