P&G June quarter net profit falls 80%

P-GProcter & Gamble Hygiene and Health Care has announced its financial results for April-June quarter of the fiscal year 2010-11. As per the report, the company has suffered a decline in the net profit in the quarter under review.

The net profit of Procter & Gamble Hygiene and Health Care Ltd was recorded Rs 10.10 crore for the June quarter of the current financial year. The net profit has fallen down by almost 80% in the reviewed quarter against its corresponding quarter in the previous year. For the same period of time in the preceding year, the company had posted a net profit was Rs 47.77 crore.

However, the net sales of the company have gone up in the quarter under review. The net sales of the company has gone up Rs 197.85 crore in Q1 of 2010-11 with a hike of 9.25% which was reported to be Rs 181.10 crore for its like period a year ago.
