Washington, Oct 28 : Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama has promised to restore economic prosperity and a sense of “higher purpose” to a tired, embattled nation. 

“We are one week away from changing America,” the Democratic presidential candidate proclaimed, campaigning with the confidence of a contender nearing victory.

Washington - Federal agents have foiled a plot by two Nazi- sympathizers to assassinate Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama and kill more than 100 African Americans at a school in Tennessee, according to court documents unsealed Monday.

According to a criminal complaint filed by the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, the two men said they planned to rob a gun store and go on a "killing spree" at a predominantly African American school in Crockett County, Tennessee.
