POP star Prince to be honored with lifetime BET award
The Pop star Prince has been selected to receive a lifetime achievement award by the Black Entertainment TV awards (BET). The award ceremony is to be held at the end of this month.
The President of programming, BET, Mr. Stephen G Hill has said that Prince is a genius and he is dynamic.
On 27th June the BET awards will celebrate their 10th anniversary at Los Angeles. For this year the host of the ceremony will be Queen Latifah.
Prince has 30 'top 40' singles albums and 10 platinum albums to his name. People will enjoy the performances from Ludacris, Diddy, Dirty Money and Kanye West in the BET awards ceremony this year.
The nominees for various awards this year include Usher, Maxwell,
Black-Eyed Peas, Beyonce, Jay-Z and Rihanna.
Jay-Z is leading the charge with five nods, meanwhile his wife Beyonce is following him with four nods. This time there is also a new reorganization for the upcoming teenaged and talented stars.
The new Canadian teenager star Justin Bieber is also in the race for the best new artist award.
