Pune Warriors appoint Australian Marsh as its coachNew Indian Premier League team Sahara Pune Warriors has announced that it has appointed Geoff Marsh as their head coach.

The ex-England all-rounder Dermot Reeve will be the assistant coach of the team. This fact was announced by the Sahara India Pariwar Chairman Subrata Roy.

He is the team owner of the Sahara Pune Warriors. The Pune IPL team is all set to debut in the fourth season of the grand Twenty 20 event next year.    

 Mr. Roy has said that, coaches are the most important part of any team and it has anticipated that his team will get the benefit from the former Australian opener Geoff Marsh. He has also said that while choosing the squad for his side, he will prefer Uttar Pradesh players. They will be given priority in his team.  

Geoff Marsh is having a great record as a player. He has played 50 Tests and 117 ODIs for Australia.

Moreover, under his coaching, Australia had won the 1999 World Cup. He was also the coach of Zimbabwe between 2001 and 2004. So he can be an asset for the newly formed team.
