Punjab deaf team leaves for Singapore

Honey Kumar, the caretaker of the team, informed that this is first time that Indian team will play in Singapore and Malaysia and they will play four matches against Sri Lanka in the tournament.
He added that they have collected a fund of Rs 500000 for this tour as the Punjab government did not offer any support to them.
A farewell for the team was organized by MLA Jassi Khangura on Monday. Mr. Jassi said that everyone should encourage theses special talented players and the federation has done a fantastic work for providing training and logistic support to them.
The team will play four matches against the Lankan Lions Cricket Club on the tour. Singapore and Malaysia will host two matches each.
The deaf cricket team includes Japreet Singh, Rakesh Kumar, Karandeep Singh, Gurdeep Singh, Munish, Abhinav Gupta, Deepak Kumar, Gurdeep, Jatinder Kalsi, Ish Jain, Vicky, Rajesh Chauhan, Manpreet Singh, Arvind Jain and Kulbir Saini.
