Quick Gun Murugun – Movie Review

Quick Gun Murugun – Movie ReviewQuick Gun Murugun is a funny movie with a promise to entertain you with its Tamilian cowboy in bright orange pants fighting the bad guys.

The movie is based on a simple story of eternal struggle of good against the bad and the good winning in the end.

Our hero Quick Gun Murugun is a vegetarian who fights the bad guy Rice Plate Reddy (Naseer) of the McDosa's chain, the non-vegetarian.

Rice Plate Reddy kidnaps South Indian mummies to find the perfect dosa recipe. He wants to turn every Udipi restaurant into a non-vegetarian establishment. Murugun fights him to save his village.

Murugan wears a locket having picture of his dead lover (Anu Menon) but he also starts liking Mango Dolly (Rambha), the buxom moll of Rice Plate Reddy who helps him in finishing the villain in the end.

Directed by Shashanka Ghosh, the movie is based on a Channel [V] character created in the mid-nineties by Ghosh. The TV character was molded in the silver screen version.

Dialogues of the movie are hilarious with one-liners and reference to the movie names. Most actors have done justice to their roles in the movie. The only weakness of movie is that it tends to drag in the end and repetitive in the second half.
