Dhruv Baker, the Masterchef2010, said that his passion for cooking was fired by the TV show anchored by Gordon Ramsay. Baker said that Ramsay was the first celebrity chef he had noticed.

The 34 year old former member of the Board of Directors of a media firm, who quit the job while doing the show, has already decided to open his own restaurant.

Answering to the question, if he will follow the path of his idol Ramsey and become a TV chef, Baker said that his first priority is to open his own restaurant.

Baker described the whole competition very challenging, which included traveling to hot Rajasthan in India and prepare food for a Maharaja and his family. The challenge was made tougher by asking them to cook for revered chef Alain Ducasse.

Baker, who was born in Mexico, moved with his English father and Indian mother to India when he was just 4 years old and this is where he found the love for food. John Torode said that he is a talented guy who can cook amazing food.
