Bangalore, Nov 13: Karnataka Governor Rameshwar Thakur today asked Chief Minister B S Yeddiyurappa to prove his majority on the floor of the State Assembly by November 20.
Bangalore, Nov 9 : Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader B S Yeddiyurappa, who will lead the coalition government in Karanataka with the Janata Dal-Secular, will meet Governor Rameshwar Thakur later today.
Thakur is expected to extend Yeddiyurappa a formal invitation to form the government.
Yeddiyurappa is expected to be sworn in as Chief Minister on Monday.
Meanwhile, the JD (S) has convened a meeting on Sunday, ahead of the government formation.
On the 12-point 'memorandum of understanding' that JD (S) chief Deve Gowda had sent to the BJP, JD (S) state unit president Merajuddin Patel said it s not a pre-condition and it is merely an understanding between the two partners for smooth governance.
