Kathua (J-K), Mar 26 : Farmers who had lost their agricultural land to border fencing in Kashmir are happy with realignment of fencing border.

Farmers of Kathua district have thanked government for fencing re-alignment.

"Earlier, almost half of our land was wasted due to fencing near border areas... Now we are feeling happy after re-alignment of fencing... the Government has done a good job for us," said Maggar Singh, a farmer.

Now nearly 1100 acres of land is available for cultivation.

Kathua (J-K), Aug 16 : Fruits and vegetable laden trucks stranded on the Jammu-Srinagar highway have kept on moving towards the Kashmir under army protection.

Truck drivers said that traffic is moving smoothly on the main highways. Army personnel are deployed along the route ensuring safety and security.

"We are very happy that the army is there. Because of this, the supply of items is returning back to normalcy," said Sukhwinder, a truck driver.
