London, April 20 : Almost 40 years since the successful Moon landing, a document has emerged that contains former US President Richard Nixon's speech, which would have been read out to the American public in the case the mission had ended in failure.
According to a report in the Telegraph, the typed document, entitled "In the event of Moon disaster", was consigned to an archive until now.
London, April 20 : The acclaimed British author JG Ballard, whose novels include Crash and Empire of the Sun, has died after a long illness. He was 78.
His agent, Margaret Hanbury, announced the author's death.
Hanbury said that Ballard had been ill `for several years' and had died on Sunday morning.
Despite being referred to as a science fiction writer, Ballard said his books were `picturing the psychology of the future'.
His was best known for his novel `Empire of the Sun', based on his childhood in a Japanese prison camp in China.

The pop vixen, who allegedly does not travel without the floral cup, was said to have accidentally left the crockery at a posh London restaurant.
The 23-year-old, who performed at this year's Brit Awards wrapped as a teacup, later purportedly sent a cab to the Metropolitan Hotel to bring back the set.
"She kicked up a stink and demanded someone get her cup and saucer back," the Sun quoted a source as saying.
