London, Apr 14 : Mel Gibson's wife has filed a divorce petition weeks after the actor was spotted frolicking with a brunette on a beach.

Robyn Gibson, 52, has filed papers to end their 28 years of marriage citing "irreconcilable differences".

Sources blame the split on Mel's relationship with a Russian musician called Oksana.

The pair had reportedly become close on the set of his latest film The Edge of Darkness, and were snapped coming out of his trailer together, however, the Oscar winner denies any affair.

London, Apr 14 : Princess Eugenie, daughter of Prince Andrew and Fergie, was seen dancing on tables after she downed beer with ketchup for an Easter bet with pals during a wild night in Thailand.

The 19-year-old Royal partied at the trendy Lizard Lounge club near Surin Beach in Phuket, where she is on a gap-year jaunt.

London - Chelsea chairman Bruce Buck indicated on Monday that the club is preparing to off-load several players over the summer. Speaking at a fans' forum, he also insisted that temporary manager Guus Hiddink will leave in the summer, and said that there would be no return for former manager Jose Mourinho.

"We are expecting some players to leave this summer," Buck said. "I don't know whether it is three, four or five, and several players to come in.

London - British Prime Minister Gordon Brown on Monday wrote personal letters to opposition political figures named in emails at the centre of a smear row which caused the resignation of one of his top advisors. Damian McBride, a former aide to Mr Brown in 10 Downing Street, quit his job over the weekend, after emails he sent in January suggesting possible smears of the top Conservative politicians were leaked to an internet blogger.

London, Apr. 13: A picture of Manchester terror plot suspect and university student Janas Khan has been released in the public domain for the first time.

Khan, 25, was studying at Hope University in Liverpool and was also illegally moonlighting as a six-pound-an hour security guard, the Daily Telegraph reports.

Peshawar based Khan obtained his passport in September 2006, and is thought to have arranged his student visa and travel to Britain shortly afterwards.

Haroon Khan who employed the arrested man, said: "He is very slight, not a big guy at all. We have a gym here but he never used it. He was a very clever lad but a bit of a loner, always looking for attention or company."

London, Apr 13: Popular band Take That's member Mark Owen has decided to re-launch his solo career.

Mark, who has touched towering heights with his band, consisting of Jason Orange, Gary Barlow and Howard Donald, is keen to go solo.

Mark wants to cash in on the popularity of the hit band, and carve a niche as a solo artist.
