London, Nov 6 : McLaren boss Ron Dennis has said that British driving sensation Lewis Hamilton is not arrogant.

The team boss admitted that some people believe the new Formula One champion is cocky, but Dennis said: “People say Lewis is aggressive, that he’s arrogant, but he is not. Definitely not.”

“He wants to win and, sometimes, people see that positivity as arrogance — but they’re wrong. He is a remarkably level-headed young man and you have to remember he is still maturing,” The Sun quoted Dennis, as saying.

The youngest ever F1 champion, Hamilton, admitted that he could stay at McLaren for the rest of his career.

London, November 6: Washington University scientists have for the first time decoded the complete DNA of a cancer patient, and traced her disease to its genetic roots.

The breakthrough resulted from the efforts of a large research team at the Genome Sequencing Center and the Siteman Cancer Center at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.

The researchers have revealed that they have sequenced the genome of a woman in her 50s who ultimately died of acute myelogenous leukemia, a cancer of blood-forming cells in the bone marrow.

London, Nov 6: Futile hard landings, which may turn out to be dangerous for both the passengers and for aircraft, could now be avoided—thanks to hard-landing detector that can be fitted into planes.

Hard landing detector can automatically find out any structural damage with the aircraft and tell if such a landing is needed or not.

So, planes could report when they need to be checked for damage, if they are equipped with such detectors, reports New Scientist.

London, Nov 6: A five-year-old girl at a Gloucestershire water park has unearthed the remains of an Ice Age rhinoceros, which roamed the area about 50,000 years ago.

According to a report by BBC News, Emelia Fawbert, the girl in question, found the fossilized carcass at the Cotswold Water Park near Cirencester during a fossil hunt.

Emelia was among a group of fossil hunters searching a freshly-excavated gravel pit at the park.

Emelia and her father James, from Bussage, near Stroud, dug up the atlas vertebra of the woolly rhino, which roamed the area about
50,000 years ago.

London, Nov 6: Popstar Madonna is pleading pal Gwyneth Paltrow to follow her lead and quit Britain for the Big Apple, it has emerged.

The ‘4 Minute’ hitmaker and Paltrow are great friends and the actress is supporting the 50-year-old through her bitter divorce battle with estranged husband Guy Ritchie.

Madonna, who plans to move to the Big Apple in a bid to rebuild her life with kids Rocco, David and Lourdes, has been begging chum Paltrow to follow in her footsteps, according to sources.
