Hindraf leaders to reorganize banned groupPetaling Jaya, Apr. 18 : Leaders of Malaysia's Hindu Rights Action Front (Hindraf) have agreed to reorganize the banned organization.

However, they are at loggerheads as to whether it should be transformed into a political party.

In a bid to bring the movement forward, Hindraf's self-exiled chairman P. Waythamoorthy suspended his ten national and state coordinators.

"We are just moving on to the next stage by re-strategizing and re-energizing ourselves for the next general election," said Waythamoorthy from London.

Robber forces 2 moneyless women to perform oral sex insteadKuala Lumpur, April 18 : A robber in Malaysia made two women perform oral sex on him after finding that they did not have any money.

The two cleaners, aged 68 and 43, were waiting for their factory van at a bus stop in Jalan Kem in Port Klang at 6.30am when a car stopped in front of them.

When the robber demanded for money, the women said that they did not have any.

He then asked the women to get into the car, apparently saying that he would sent them home.

According to The Star, the festive gathering on Thursday night, was to celebrate the New Years of Baisakhi, Vishu, Ugadi, Gudi Padra, Aluth Arurudhu, Puthandu, Nan Roz, Guru Bihu, Vaishakha and Naba Barsha.

It was jointly organised by the Miri Indian Association, the High Commission of India Office in Kuala Lumpur and the Indian Council for Cultural Relations.

Malaysian Indian Congress to not pull out from governmentKuala Lumpur, Apr. 17 : The Malaysian Indian Congress will not pull out from the Cabinet and has pledged support to Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak's Government, party president S. Samy Vellu has said.

Vellu said the party discussed the issue for more than 90 minutes on Thursday, and decided it would support the leadership of Razak.

"We know the appointment is the prerogative of the prime minister and we are not making any comment on it," The Star quoted Vellu, as saying.

"M. Manoharan, 48, P. Uthayakumar, 47, and K. Vasantha Kumar, 36, will remain at the Kamunting detention centre until December 13," the Federal Court said while rejecting their appeal against the home minister''s two-year order for the second time.
