NATO, CSTO must cooperate on security, head of "Russian NATO" says Brussels - NATO and its Russian-dominated counterpart, the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), should work together to form a new security system in Europe, the head of the CSTO said in Brussels on Wednesday.

"Nowadays, the system of the balance of power in Europe is failing. The security architecture has to be re-made," CSTO Secretary General Nikolai Bordyuzha told journalists in Brussels.

Portugal defender Meira joins Zenit from Galatasaray St Petersburg - Portugal defender Fernando Meira leaves Galatasaray Istanbul for Zenit St Petersburg with immediate effect, the UEFA Cup holders from Russia announced on Wednesday.

Zenit said on their website that Meira, 30, has signed a three-year-contract. The transfer fee has been estimated at 6 million euros (7.6 million dollars).

Meira joined the Turkish top club Galatasaray last summer after more than six years at Germany's VfB Stuttgart, but has fallen out of favour there recently.

Subex inks ‘Reseller Pact’ with Russian firmSubex Limited, a global provider of operations support system (OSS) solutions, has signed a reseller agreement with JSC "Company TransTeleKom'' (TTK), one of Russia's top three fixed network providers.

Under the deal, TTK and Subex would jointly provide managed services covering fraud management and revenue assurance to growing operators in Russia.

It may be noted that Nikira Fraud Management System and Moneta Revenue Assurance System, are key components of the Subex ROC - Revenue Operations Center.

Orbiting ISS crew begin extra spacewalk

International Space StationMoscow  - Two crew members aboard the International Space Station (ISS) opened the hatches to the vacuum Tuesday to set up a bio experiment outside their orbiting home.

US Commander Mike Fincke and Russian flight engineer Yury Lonchakov began the six-hour space walk at 7:20 Moscow time (4:20 GMT).

"We have an important and very interesting mission. Today we will set up European scientific equipment, also we will undertake repairs and photograph various parts of the ISS," Lonchakov was quoted by news agency Interfax as saying during an exchange with the mission control centre Tuesday.
