Another glitch for Australian airline QantasSydney  - A Qantas Airways jet aborted a flight to Singapore and returned to the Australian west coast city of Perth after one of its two engines was shut down, news reports said Saturday.

The Airbus A330 with 168 passengers aboard turned back Friday when an engine oil warning light flashed in the cockpit.

Aviation sources told The Sydney Morning Herald that the engine starter motor failed because maintenance engineers in Hong Kong had forgotten to oil the motor after an overhaul last week.

Lucus Yeo, from Castle Hill Public School, has beaten the world record of a 27-year-old American with a PhD in chemistry, who completed it in two minutes and 8 seconds.

It took 10 days for him to complete his first puzzle several years ago.

"So from then on I was just trying to beat 10 days, and then it became a few minutes. Now here I am," Sydney Morning Herald quoted Yeo as saying.

Australian Islamic leader condemns Mumbai attacks Sydney - A leader of Australia's 300,000 Muslims on Thursday said terrorist attacks in the Indian city of Mumbai were "abhorrent, despicable and outrageous."

"Attacks against innocent persons are abhorrent to all peaceful people and to all faiths and those who engage in this behaviour stand condemned," Australian Federation of Islamic Councils president Ikebal Adam Patel said in a statement.

"People of goodwill and faith must double their efforts and resources to fight against such acts of barbarism and inhumanity."
