Vadodara, Mar 3 : Encouraged with the increased vote percentage during last year's assembly polls, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has decided to contest all 26 Lok Sabha seats in Gujarat.
BSP's state general secretary, Nalin Bhatt said that the party wanted to expand the base of the party in the state.
BSP, he said will not have an alliance with any other political party.
"The question of alliance with any other political party or supporting the candidate of the Third Front in the state does not arise as the party has decided to contest all seats in the state," Bhatt said.
Vadodra, Feb 13 : All India Congress Committee (AICC) General Secretary Rahul Gandhi met youths applying for membership of the Youth Congress on Friday.
He also visited the Maharaja Sayajirao University (MSU).
The youths expressed their keenness to apply for membership of the Youth Congress.
"We have come here to fill up the membership forms of Youth Congress. Rahul said that if more youths came forward to join the Youth Congress then only will the party become strong and that our country needed young leaders," said Sudha Patel, an applicant.
Vadodara (Gujarat), Jan 23 : A synthetic plastic factory in Vadodara, Gujarat was destroyed on Thursday.
The fire, which started at around 1 p. m. at climate synthetic Private Limited soon spread, and some workers were injured.
Around 15- 20 fire engines and 100 fire fighters were used to douse the flames out completely.
Goods and raw material worth million of rupees was estimated to have been destroyed in the fire.
Investigations are on to determine the cause of the fire. (ANI)

Vadodara, May 28 : Police have arrested five people in suspicious condition at Vadodara airport in Gujarat on Wednesday.
The arrests were made when the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel found that few men were loitering suspiciously around the parking area of the airport with their bicycles.
On the behest of the CISF the local police immediately took them into custody

Vadodara, Apr 16: The death toll in the bus accident that took place at Bodeli village, about 50 kilometers from here this morning reached 47.
According to official sources, the bodies of three adults and 44 kids have been recovered, some more children are still missing.
“Forty four bodies have been recovered so far. The driver and the conductor of the bus could not be saved. Four kids have been rescued so far. It’s a very unfortunate incident,” said N. V Patel, Chairman, Sardar Sarovar Narmada Nigam.
Vadodara, Apr 16: A bus carrying at least 50 school children fell into the Narmada canal in Bodeli, nearly 50 km from here, this morning.
The Gujarat Transport Corporation bus was ferrying the school kids on a study tour. The driver lost control when it was moving on a bridge over the canal, as a result of which the bus dashed into the parapet wall of the bridge and plunged into the canal.
According to the latest reports, 13 bodies, including that of the driver, were been recovered so far.
Few students, who swam to safe, informed the nearby villagers about the accident.
Rescue operations with twenty divers have already begun, official sources said. (ANI)
Vadodra, Dec 14: Congress MP from Amethi, Rahul Gandhi, will kick-off his second leg of road show for the second phase of Gujarat Assembly elections here today.
Rahul will conduct a road show in Vadodara as the campaigning will come to an end today.
During his road show, Rahul will address three public meetings in three assembly constituencies.
Earlier, Rahul had a road show in Surat where he urged the voters not to get carried away by "lies of the BJP Government in the State" and said that he has come to talk about future and not the past.
