Retailers offering holiday deals earlier this yearRetailers are rolling out holiday deals earlier this year in order to get the maximum benefit of the short holiday shopping season this year.

Walmart said Tuesday that it is planning to hold two major sales events at 6 p. m. and 8 pm on Thursday, which is two hours earlier than the previous year. It is believed that the retailer will launch seven big deals on items like TVs and tablets online, which are generally offered following Thanksgiving and Cyber Monday, with in this week from Friday. The retailer said that the customers will be able to take advantage of the deal from shortly after midnight Friday.

E-commerce deals are also starting earlier this year as the retailers are looking boost sales in the difficult year. Wal-Mart Stores, which is the world's largest retailer, has indicated that it is planning to roll out holiday deals for customers much earlier this year through its website.

Best Buy has said that it will open most of its stores on the Thanksgiving Day joining a host of other retailers looking to benefit from the Black Friday shopping. Kohl's said Monday said that its stores will open on 8 p. m. on Thanksgiving Day and will also remain open on Friday. Macy's and JC Penney have already announced their decisions to remain open on the holiday. Sears Holdings Corp. said most of its Sears and Kmart stores will open Thanksgiving Day.
