Rijkaard appointed Galatasaray coach
Istanbul - Galatasaray have appointed Frank Rijkaard as their new coach, the Istanbul club said Friday.
The 46-year-old Dutchman replaces Bulent Korkmaz who resigned on Wednesday, the club said on its website.
Rijkaard has been out of a coaching job since leaving Barcelona last summer. He led the Dutch national team from 1998 to 2000 and won the Champions League and Spanish league in a five-year spell between 2003 and 2008. (dpa)
