''Romney likely didn''t watch Obama''s inauguration''

Mitt-RomneyWashington, Jan 22 : An aide to Mitt Romney has said it was ''doubtful'' that the former Massachusetts Governor and his wife, Anne, watched President Barack Obama''s inauguration on television.

As Obama took his oath of office this weekend and celebrated his second inauguration, Romney, who lost the 2012 election, said he had "no big plans", and chose to spend the weekend at his home in La Jolla, California, instead of travelling to Washington for the inauguration of his campaign rival, reports New York Daily News.

Romney, meanwhile, can find some small consolation knowing that he will be have his own inauguration of sorts.

First State Bank in Norton, Kansas, houses a second-floor gallery full of those, like Romney, who have tried, but failed to become president.

The bank has planned to hang Romney''s portrait in its ''They Also Ran Gallery'' on Tuesday. Lee Ann Shearer, the gallery''s director, said she has tried to make it a party and a little inauguration, where after a welcome, she will have a little talk about the rejected candidate.

Romney''s portrait will join those of 59 other presidential losers, including John Kerry, Bob Dole, Al Gore, and John McCain. (ANI)
