Ronaldo's strident 'owl hoots' can give 'Animal' Adam Levine a run for his money!

Cristiano RonaldoSydney, Jan 13 : Portugal football team captain Cristiano Ronaldo may give American singer Adam Levine a run for his money, as the footballer's owl hoot on winning his third Ballon d'Or sent the internet in shock even more than the ' Maroon 5' singer's howl in his hit single 'Animals'.

Ronaldo, who was voted the world's best football player for the third time, is hoping that the honour brings him closer to being remembered as one of the greatest of all time, but all anybody would remember from the day was how he closed out his victory speech.

Ronaldo claimed that he never thought that he would win the award on three occasions, News. com. au reported.

Ronaldo, whose son and mother were present and burst into tears when he went up to collect the award, also praised his teammates but he also paid homage to his family, saying that he would like to thank his mother, father, who is in heaven and who is looking down on him, and to his family.

And after ending his speech saying that it has been an unforgettable year and to win a trophy of this importance is unimaginable, Ronaldo dropped a shocker as he unleashed his strange roar that sounded more like an owl hoot.

Former France and Arsenal star Thierry Henry's reaction said it all, as he tweeted a picture with a close up of his nonplussed face, standing right behind Ronaldo.

Other users also tweeted in their responses with one stating it as Ronaldo's surprise cameo in the hit American sitcom 'Two and a Half Men', while another tweeted that the Portugal skipper has made his film debut in 'Dead Poets Society' with the late Robin Williams. (ANI)
