Washington, July 11 : Ryan O''Neal has reasons to keep his fingers crossed, for a California judge may dismiss drug possession charges against the actor.

The `Desperate Housewives' star, who is mourning the loss of his long-time partner and actress Farrah Fawcett, heard in a Malibu Superior Court that he was a model citizen during a progress report hearing.

O''Neal had pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance, after officials found methamphetamines during a search at his home, reports Contactmusic.

He and his son Redmond O'Neal were arrested in January this year, and the duo was charged with felony drug possession.

The 67-year-old, who was ordered to complete a drug program, was told that the case would be dismissed if he completed the program by his next hearing in a year. (ANI)
