Ryanair to scrap on-board scramble for seats

Ryanair to scrap on-board scramble for seatsEurope’s Low cost airline, Ryanair has said that it will scrap on-board scramble for seats in order to keep its passengers happy.

The airline said that the passengers who have not paid to pick and reserve a seat will be automatically allotted a seat about 24 hours ahead of the flight. The improvement was suggested in the Tell MOL (Michael O'Leary) campaign, in which the customers were encouraged to go online and suggest improvements in the airline.

The changes announced recently will also include more tolerance of minor booking errors, lesser annoying announcement on-board and allowing passengers to carry a second hand baggage on the flight. Chief executive Michael O'Leary is working to improve service on the airline and attract passengers as people look to affordable options of flying with good customer service. The boarding card reissue fees will be cut from €70 or £70 to €15 or £15 for passengers who have checked-in online.

The airline said that the changes are being implemented following extensive customer feedback on its website. It said that the company will introduce several changes during the coming six months aimed at better service for the passengers. The airline will now allow customers to look for flights online without the need of security codes and there will be a grace period of 24 hours to correct minor errors like spellings of names and routings.
