Samsung offers Champ, Omnia Lite in India

Samsung-Omnia-LiteSamsung has officially proclaimed of two new models of smartphones in India. The models to be released are Samsung Champ and Omnia Lite.

Samsung Champ is deemed as the smallest and cheapest touchscreen handset available at the moment.

The features of the phone include a 2.4-inch resistive touchscreen with a QVGA resolution, a 1.3 megapixel camera at the back side and come with connectivity options like Bluetooth and USB. The phone is priced at Rs. 4,100 only, making it as aforementioned the cheapest touchscreen handset.

In case of Omnia Lite (B7300), the handset comes with a Windows mobile 6.5 support. It is a full-fledged handset that makes use of Microsoft's previous generation OS and supports MS exchange server with its push e-mail and IBM Lotus NoteTraveler.

A few of the other specs include 3G connectivity, 3 megapixel camera and the DiVx and Xvid ready features which comes with a 250 MB of internal memory expandable to 32GB using microSD cards.

This model is priced at Rs. 17,560 and has been launched in India.
