Ajmer, Mar 7 : The Rajasthan Police has made adequate arrangements for the visit of Pakistan Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf to the revered shrine of Ajmer Sharif on Saturday.

Senior police officials visited the shrine in Rajasthan to meet management and strategise preparations needed ahead of the VIP''s visit.

"We will make adequate arrangements from helipad to the shrine in accordance to the visit. Today I have met the member of the Anjuman regarding the same and have been told about the procedures followed during a VIP''s visit, like vacating the shrine and conducting anti-sabotage checking.

"Police personnel in large numbers, including in civil dress would be deployed. Once we have the minute to minute detail of his visit security arrangements can be accordingly planned," said Gaurav Srivastava, Superintendent of Police, Ajmer city.

Meanwhile in New Delhi, Foreign Minister Salman Khurshid ruled out the possibility of any diplomatic talks with Ashraf.

Khurshid said that the Pakistan PM''s visit was purely a religious one.

"He is coming for a religious visit and will straight away go there. The state''s governor would be welcoming him there upon his arrival. He does not have any more plans other than this and I am unaware of the same," said Khurshid.

The Pakistan Prime Minister will be visiting India on a private visit on March 09 for a day-long pilgrimage to Ajmer Sharif the shrine of Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti.

Ashraf, who is expected to be accompanied by his family members, will not be meeting any Indian political leaders. (ANI)
