Sensex Declines 17.39 Pts; Bharti, TCS, DLF RIL DownIndian stock markets declined during the early trade today wiping out previous gains.

At 9.02. am, the Sensex stood at 18,627.67, down 17.39 points (0.09%).

In the meantime, the broad-based Nifty lost 31.45 points to trade at 5,572.55.

The major loser was Reliance Industries, which declined 20.07 points in the Sensex. It was accompanied by ICICI Bank, which dropped 12.83 points, Infosys Technologies lost 11.51 points, Bharti Airtel fell 9.03 points and SBI remained weak by 8.58 points.

But, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd remained up by 10.59 points accompanied by Oil & Natural Gas Corporation, which surged 0.64 points, ACC gained 0.16 points, Tata Power Company climbed up 0.22 points and Hero Honda Motors went up by 0.38 points.

The top gainers in the Sensex pack comprised ACC (0.14%), and Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (0.09%).

In contrast, Bharti Airtel (-1.53%), TCS (-1.12%), Tata Steel (-1.07%), RIL (-0.92%), DLF (-0.88%), and ICICI Bank (-0.88%) topped the losers' chart.

The BSE Mid and small caps surged 0.09% and 0.62% respectively.

The Capital Goods index gained 191.82 points at 15,039.13. The IT index surged 0.99% to trade at 5,618.43, while the Metal index gained 128.06 points at 16,006.86.

On the other hand, the Realty index remained weak. It lost 37.16 points to trade at 3,519.92.
