Sensex trades flat during pre-noon sessionMumbai, July 30 - A benchmark index of Indian equities markets was trading flat at 2.37 points or 0.01 percent up during the pre-noon trade Tuesday after the Reserve Bank of India left all key policy rates unchanged.

Some positive buying was observed in IT and capital goods sectors, while selling pressure was seen in the fast moving consumer goods (FMCG), auto and metal sectors.

The 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex) of the S&P Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 19,577.75 points, was trading at 19,595.65 points in the pre-noon session, up 2.37 points or 0.01 percent from previous day's close at 19,593.28 points.

The Sensex touched a high of 19,672.72 points and a low of 19,553.27 points in the trade so far.

The S&P BSE IT index moved up by 87.85 points and capital goods index increased by 71.97 points; while auto index dropped by 87.83 points, FMCG index slipped by 72.64 points and metal index went down by 48.66 points.

The wider 50-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was trading flat at 1.60 points or 0.03 percent down at 5,830.05 points. (IANS)
