Shahid Kapoor is doubtlessly one of the top dancers in the Hindi film industry and his aesthetically-inclined 'Pa' Pankaj Kapoor is reportedly assembling a specially-designed dance track in his upcoming flick "Mausam".

The film's producer Sheetal Talwar stated, "We don't want to disappoint Shahid's target audience, the young fans. So yes, Shahid will dance after all."

According to a source, "There was closed-door meeting between the producers, the director and Shahid. It was unanimously decided that there would be a very unique song-and-dance. It was felt that 'Mausam' was too expensive a project to make it seem even slightly experimental in flavour."

Shahid's pal Ahmed Khan is busy making efforts to adapt the dance into his overcrowded diary.

A source near to the project said that Shahid's 'Pa' had initially planned an exclusive heavily melody-based music score based only on ragas for his directorial debut.

In actual fact, Pritam Chakraborty, who is composing music for "Mausam", has just recorded a raga-based love song in the voice of Rashid Khan.

"It was meant to be only a small music piece. But when Pankaj-ji heard the tune, he wanted it as a full-fledged song," he said.

He admits the music in "Mausam" would be heavily harmonious in the tradition of the great love stories down the ages from "Bobby" to "Love Story" to "Ek Duuje Ke Liye" to "Saawariya". (With Inputs from Agencies)
