Bollywood superstars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Shahrukh Khan are not teaming up for Yash Raj Films (YRF) upcoming film project.

The announcement was made by a spokesperson from the production house on Saturday.

An official statement from YRF stated, "Despite our categorical denial of this baseless rumour, the tabloid continued to publish this with an ambiguous quote from a person at YRF. It is totally baseless and not true."

"The least that should have been done was to have quoted us correctly and preferably not have carried this concocted story at all," it added.

The report, which was released in a Mumbai-based tabloid, said that after "Devdas" in the year 2002, King Khan and Ash are coming together after eight years for a YRF film.

YRF has refused it saying that no such project is being planned in which the two of them paired together.

"Our next set of scripts are still under finalisation and as and when the cast for each of them is locked, we will be more than happy to make the announcements. Till then, it would be great if you could please check with us before quoting any unconfirmed sources," the release added.

Aishwarya Rai and Shahrukh were also seen together in Yash Raj's film "Mohabbatein" in 2000. (With Inputs from Agencies)
