Shree Ganesh Jewellery Eyes $1 Bln Turnover In 2010-11
Hand-crafted jewellery manufacturer Shree Ganesh Jewellery House is eyeing to register a turnover of USD 1 billion in the existing financial year (2010-11).
While addressing a press meeting, Mr. Nilesh Parekh, chairman, said, "The current quarter is crucial for us and our order book for this period is Rs 1,500 crore."
For 2010-11, the company's order book size stood at Rs 3,000 crore.
The company's export markets are mainly in United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong and Singapore.
The company's exports contributes around 96% of its sales.
"The company is set to increase its export volumes by diversifying its product portfolio to diamond and machine made Italian jewellery. These new additions are expected to add up to 35 percent of the export revenues," Mr. Nilesh said.
Shree Ganesh Jewellery House made Rs 1,194 crore from exports during the three month period ended June 30, 2010 as compared to Rs 514 crore in the same period last year.
The company's first quarter net profit climbed 124% to Rs 63.73 crore as against Rs 28.48 crore a year ago. (With Inputs from Agencies)
