Siemens Secures Two Orders Worth Rs 360 Cr From PGCIL
Diversified firm Siemens Ltd declared that it has secured two significant orders worth Rs 360 crore from state-run Power Grid Corp (PGCIL) for commissioning of power substations.
In a disclosure to BSE, the company said that it has won two orders from PGCIL for setting up turnkey 765 kV substation each at Gaya in Bihar and Ranchi in Jharkhand.
The time frame for the execution of the two projects is 27 months.
The scope of work includes design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, installation, civil works, testing and commissioning of the complete substations on turnkey basis.
PGCIL is installing these substations under transmission system associated with the Damodar Valley Corporation and Maithon Right Bank Projects.
While commenting on this, A K Dixit, CEO, Siemens Energy Sector said: "The substations will be fully automated and are compact in design which will enhance our customers to handle the plant more efficiently."
