Six dead after vessel capsizes in eastern Aegean
Athens - At least six people were reported dead after the vessel they were travelling on capsized in the eastern Aegean, the Athens News Agency (ANA) reported.
Greek coast guard officials rescued 10 people but said they believed two more were still missing after the vessel capsized off the north-eastern Aegean island of Mytilini.
Reports said the vessel was carrying illegal immigrants from the nearby Turkish coast.
Rescue helicopters and coast guard vessels were combing the area for signs of survivors. (dpa)
