Riyadh  - More than 700 pilgrims were evacuated from a hotel that caught fire in the Muslim holy city of Mecca Thursday.

Saudi sources said that five people were slightly injured after fire fighters quickly controlled the blaze.

Pilgrims head to Mecca throughout the year to perform the Umrah (the minor Muslim pilgrimage). (dpa)
