Slovenia reports its first case of swine flu

Slovenia reports its first case of swine flu Ljubljana - The Slovenian Health Ministry has confirmed on Friday the country's first case of swine flu.

Health Ministry spokesman said the case was of a young woman who recently visited New York.

The woman, who returned on June 17 to Slovenia, felt symptoms while returning from New York.

Television station TVS reported that the woman was being treated with Tamiflu and that she was sent home and is in good condition.

The World Health Organization declared a swine flu pandemic earlier in June.(dpa)
