SRK finds Anand debate silly

The world renowned chess champion Vishwanathan Anand, who was supposed to be bestowed with a doctorate by the University of Hyderabad, has been in the recent debates due to his nationality and this issue has been termed as a silly apart from being awful.

Questions have been raised about citizenship of Anand who has been living in Spain for the past couple of years though he is still a legal holder of an Indian passport and thus the 39 year old has not received his degree owing to the obstacles caused by Union Human Resource Development Ministry.

But later on Mr. Kapil Sibal, Minister of Union Human Resource and Development was reported to have expressed regret over a telephonic conversation with Anand assuring him that none of the questions regarding his nationality has been raised by the ministry.

But after the persuasion by the Minister to accept the doctorate, Anand has courteously declined to receive currently due to his prior commitments but has also expressed his willingness to accept it later.

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan has expressed his uneasiness about Anand being asked to prove his nationality and described this phase of Indian sports as an unlucky one with cricket, CWG and this all in a row.
