Strauss-Kahn to be interviewed first time after NY hotel maid rape charges

Strauss-Kahn to be interviewed first time after NY hotel maid rape charges Paris, Sept 16 : Former International Fund (IMF) chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn would be facing a television interview for the first time soon after being charged for raping a Midtown hotel maid in New York in May.

The New York Post quoted a French web site as saying that Strauss-Kahn could try to gain sympathy through his interview with journalist Claire Chazal.

It is being speculated that he would appear in an interview on France''''s TF1 channel, but the channel has not confirmed anything as yet.

On being asked whether she has managed to get a scoop out of Strauss-Kahn, Chazal avoided giving a very clear answer.

“Of course, we are doing everything to have DSK on JT, and I can tell you that we are in a good position. But many media are also trying their luck. Really, nothing is done,” she added.

Strauss-Kahn was reportedly questioned by police have over allegations of sexually abusing a French writer, when he arrived in Paris.

He has been in the US since being arrested in May over sexual assault charges, and recently moved back to France. The New York rape case against him was dropped last month at the request of prosecutors who had concerns about hotel maid Nafissatou Diallo''''s credibility. (ANI)
