Student dies of Bacterial meningitisAn Oologah student, who has expired due to bacterial meningitis, has brought danger for the school officials. Three other students diagnosed with the same ailment have been hospitalized.

Bacterial Meningitis is nothing but a bacterial infection, which has the symptoms such as fever, headache, vomiting, photophobia, altered mental state and anorexia.

School superintendent of Oologah-Talala, Rick Thomas stated in a prepared statement that a school student has passed away and state Health Department officials are at the school. It is the duty of the health officials to proclaim necessary measures in consideration of the students' health. Now the school may either screen all students or announce vacation.
