Subros eyes expansion

SubrosIn a bid to meet the increasing demand from the OEMs in the domestic circuit, the automobile air conditioning system maker Subros has recently said that the company is planning to set up a new facility in Chennai. The company also said that the new plant will be looking at meeting the demand of the auto manufacturers in the Chennai region.

Moreover, apart from the new plant, the company has also said that it will also invest about Rs 100 crore in the next two years to expand its production capacities of the existing three facilities.

It is to be mentioned here that Subros Chairman Ramesh Suri told reporters here on the sidelines of the ACMA summit that the company will be investing huge money to expand capacity at its existing units.

Regarding the capacity expansion plans, Suri mentioned here that the company will take the total capacity to 1.5 million units per annum from the current one million units per annum and for the same, it will be investing close to Rs. 50 crore every year.

It is to be mentioned here that the company currently has its production facility in Noida, Manesar and Pune and will be looking at opening a plant in Sanand to supple parts to Nano.
