Mumbai has reported its 27th H1N1-related death.

The number of swine flu cases in the country's financial capital is on a rise.

The Metro-city has reported the death of a pregnant woman and a child last week.

Giving the information to the media persons, health officials said that a 21-year-old pregnant woman named Sharda Bhanushali, admitted to a private hospital in the city died on Sunday.

Sharda was a resident of Bhayander.

She had complained of high temperature, cough and cold.

The second victim, 11-month-old Jayesh of Raigad district died at a city hospital on September 26.

The boy was admitted to KEM hospital on September 24 with breathlessness, fever, cold and cough.

It should be noted that Maharashtra is the worst hit swine flu state in the country.

It has so far recorded over 124 swine flu deaths.
