New Delhi, Nov. 12 : The two-week long 27th India International Trade Fair will open here on Wednesday.

The fair is a mega celebration of the new India that is fast taking shape.

New Delhi, Nov 12 : Union Finance Minister Palaniappan Chidambaram on Monday outlined some of the challenges faced by Indian economy in spite of its remarkable growth story.

Highlighting India's recent GDP growth of over 9 per cent, Chidambaram said that if this growth rate were sustained then the national per capita income would be doubled in about 9 years.

However, he later added that sustaining such growth rate is one of the important challenges.
