Technicolor geared up for 3DTechnicolor said that it has tightened the belt for 3D viewing as it wants no fallbacks when the platform is ready for the public.

Technicolor's Chiswick, in West London said that it is equipped with the right technology to gel in with the latest 3D offering being a 'first' for the company.

The distribution technology and viewership is optimum and the company will soon offer this facility to its cable, television, and satellite network service provider clients.

Chuck Parker, President of Technicolor's Digital Content Delivery business added, "Broadcast 3D is a natural extension of the many services we're already providing, including upstream in production and post production, as well as delivering the highest quality 3D images to theatres and to the home via Blu-ray Disc, broadcast, and digital delivery.

" Technicolor claimed that its well prepared to manage live or pre-recorded content featuring directly from post production via encoding from satellite, cable, IPTV or terrestrial distribution. It also uplifted itself to generate the logos and other visual effects for the 3d platform.
