According to Google, the new gadget will allow users to read, search and send Gmail messages while in Google Desktop.

It will also help users to star messages and use keyboard shortcuts. Apart from this, the plug will also utilises keyboard shortcuts and contact auto-complete.

This change actually enable the users of TradeMe Property and its travel accommodation site Travelbug, make the most of Google's new Street View programme, launched in New Zealand today.

The users would be able to view photos of streets and surrounding areas over the internet via Street View.

The new tool, known as SearchWiki, will be available with all of Google''s English-language search services.

This will make it possible for internet users to rate and comment on search results, and see how others have rated theirs.

According to news. com. au, the new tool is expected to add a social networking dimension to the services provided by the Internet giant.

Those wishing to use the novel tool should be signed in to a Google account, and any changes they make will apply only their own results.
