Wellington, Aug 27: Partners who’re not where they are supposed to be could soon be watching their exploits live on a mobile phone, courtesy ‘The Watch Anywhere Monitoring Camera’.

The revolutionary hardware, which resembles a computer webcam, is billed as an anti-theft system - but can also be used to catch wayward lovers and truant children.

Users simply install the device in the room they wish to monitor. If the motion sensor detects a disturbance, it sends a three-second video of the event to the owner's mobile phone.

Washington, August 27 : The next sample of Martian soil being grabbed for analysis is coming from a trench about three times deeper than any other trench NASA’s Phoenix Mars Lander has dug.

On August 26, the spacecraft will finish the 90 Martian days originally planned as its primary mission and will continue into a mission extension through September, as announced by NASA in July.

Phoenix’s main task for Sol 90 is to scoop up a sample of soil from the bottom of a trench called “Stone Soup,” which is about 18 centimeters, or 7 inches deep.

The digital camera manufacturer, Canon launched five new cameras on Tuesday. It includes two entry level products A2000 IS and the EOS 50D SLR for professional applications. A2000 IS would replace the entry-level A720 IS. It consumes low power using two AA rechargeable batteries.

The A2000 supports a 10-megapixel camera, a 6x optical zoom, image stabilization, a three inch LCD screen and slimmer and stylish body. It is available in two colors such as grey or silver at a price of $249.99. The A1000 IS and E1 models are priced at $199.99. Both have already same specifications except their looking. The cameras supports 10 mega pixel cams, a 4x optical zoom with image stabilization, and a 2.5-inch well designed LCD screen.

London, August 27 : An Indian-origin engineer in Israel has developed a device that can restore movement to paralysed people.

Amit Goffer, founder of Argo Medical Technologies, has revealed that his device ReWalk is currently being tested in Tel Aviv''s Sheba Medical Centre.

The device is also scheduled for clinical trials at the Moss Rehabilitation Research Institute in Pennsylvania, he says.

Radi Kaiof, a former Israeli paratrooper who has been paralysed for the past 20 years, now walks down the street with the aid of ReWalk.
