Telemedicine’ application introduced in BlackBerry handsets
A new revolution has hit the mobile technology in which doctors have been the facility to check patient's ECG on their BlackBerry handsets through a new application 'telemedicine'.
Vodafone is helping BlackBerry to run this application and help the doctors to check ECG without wasting too much time.
Blackberry maker Research- in-motion had longtime back created this application but the company was unable to apply it in mass usage. However, now it came into application under Vodafone network and tie up with medical equipment manufacturer Maestros Mediline Systems (Maestros).
Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai has come forward to use this technology, where cardiologists have been offered with this application in their BlackBerry handsets to check their patient's ECG.
Plans have been organized to make this application popular and accessible to all the major hospitals in India.
