Telstra the wireless networking company is in the best mood. The company has upgraded itself to offer an unbelievable speed of 42Mb per second. Targeting the fast gaining next generation speedy connections it has uplifted itself to HSPA+ via using its dual carrier technology.

Mike Wright the executive director of Telestra wireless said, "Dual carrier is a technique where one combines two conventional HSPA+ channels simultaneously to double the peak speed on a data modem."

The upgrade of Telstra's network to HSPA+ Dual Carrier was accomplished with network partner Ericsson, with Qualcomm and Sierra Wireless combining the team to deliver a HSPA+ Dual Carrier chipset and device. The upgrade shall be available for those having a mobile data card.
