Thai capital has turned into a war field

Thailand-ProtestThailand's capital Bangkok is no more an ideal destination for the tourists. It has turned into a battlefield from a calm and quite tourist heaven. The anti government red shirt protesters refused to calm down without re-election.

The protesters have boycott the previous election alleging corruption issues. Their demand is still the same. They want the Prime Minister to step down. The authorities of Bangkok have extended the curfew for three more nights because of the army assault on red shirt protesters yesterday. The curfew will be on in 23 provinces.

The protesters took shelter at a place round covered with tyres and iron wires. Around 27 buildings were burnt after the arrest of the red shirt leaders on Wednesday.

Approximately 40 people were killed during the protest by the troops and 14 people were killed only on Wednesday. Despite efforts from the government to stop this violence, Thailand may continue burning for its internal issues in upcoming time. The stock exchange has also suffered a lot from this protest.
