Thirty-nine years old man nabbed as suspect in movie cellphone stabbingAuthorities have said that a suspect has been arrested in the stabbing of a man who complained about someone talking on a cellphone in a California movie theater.

The Los Angeles Times has reported that Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department spokesman Steve Whitmore said Landry Boullard, 39, was arrested Wednesday in Lancaster, Calif., and booked on suspicion of attempted murder. Boullard was being held on $1 million bail.

The attack occurred in February during a showing of "Shutter Island" at the Cinemark 22 theater, in Lancaster.

The victim had complained about a woman who was talking on a cellphone during the 9 p. m. show. The woman and two men left the theater but the men returned in minutes and stabbed the victim in the neck with the sharp end of a meat thermometer.

Police further said that the victim was hospitalized with what authorities said were serious injuries, and two other movie patrons who came to his defense were also injured.

Whitmore said, "It was vicious and cowardly attack." (With Inputs from Agencies)
