Train, bus services between India, Pak stopped following Benazir’s assassination

India Pakistan FlagNew Delhi, Dec 28 : The train and bus services between India and Pakistan were cancelled for today following former Pakistan Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto’s assassination in Rawalpindi on Thursday.

The Munnabao-Khokrapar and Samjhauta Express train services, and Delhi-Lahore bus service was cancelled for today, a Home Ministry release said.

Benazir, 54, was shot at and killed by snipers before a suicide bomb attack on the periphery of her carcade on Thursday.

Before her assassination, Benazir had addressed an election rally in Rawalpindi. At least 30 other people reportedly died in the attack and several more were injured. (ANI)
