London, November 19 : Actress Kristen Stewart has revealed that she had fallen “deathly ill” while shooting for ‘Twilight’ sequel, ‘New Moon,’ in Vancouver, Canada.
The beauty mentioned that the entire crew was down with cold.
“Everyone on these movies is fighting a cold. Constantly. I didn''t get sick on (third Twilight movie) Eclipse, but on New Moon, I was deathly ill,” the Daily Star quoted her as telling Times Out.

Brit Muslims want to remain segregated from rest of society

According to a poll reported by the Daily Star, religion has replaced race as the biggest equality issue, with six in 10 Brits thinking it is more divisive.
Mass tension have grown following terror attacks from Muslim fanatics, including the 7/7 Tube bombings in 2005.
But critics say that they are angered over the fact that Muslims are refusing to fit into the British way of life.
English Democrats' chairman Robin Tilbrook said: "As far as I'm concerned, what we want to be about is having an integrated society.

Google has tweaked its iGoogle start page for easier use on iPhone and Android phones. The internet giant has released improved beta version of iGoogle for iPhone and Android handsets.
According to Google, the new version of iGoogle is speedier and easier-to-use. It lets the iPhone and Android phone users to interact with their devices in similar way to the desktop version using tabs and displaying content that runs in iFrames.
Kroger reports a decrease of 27% in Q4 income

Cincinnati based Kroger Co., the largest U. S. grocery store chain, reported in its quarterly results that the company posted a decrease of 27% in its net income for the fourth quarter of the fiscal ended January 30, 2009. The reduced income was mainly attributable to the lesser profit margins because of the product deflation and the ongoing price war in the retail industry.

State-run bank, UCO Bank said on Monday that it expects to post a net profit of Rs.13 billion during the current financial year. This was said by the Executive Director of the bank, Ajai Kumar, who was talking to the shareholders today.
Ajai said that the net during the year 2009-10 stood at Rs. 10.12 billion.
The things have changed for good and looking at the current trend this time around the profit should be close to Rs. 13 billion. This amount will be supported by a good growth in both credit and deposit side.
Traders start early as bourses advance opening bell

Kolkata, Jan 4 : Braving the chilly winter morning Monday, brokers across the country made their way to offices early after the bourses decided to start trade 55 minutes earlier and extend trading hours.
From Monday, the two key bourses of the country -- the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange (NSE) -- started trading hours from 9 a. m. instead of 9.55 a. m. to lure derivative traders in Hong Kong and Singapore to their platforms.
JISL Wins Order Worth Rs 27 Crore From Europe

Country’s largest processor of fruits and vegetables, Jain Irrigation Systems Ltd (JISL) announced that it has won an order worth Rs 270 million (27 crore) to supply dehydrated onions to Europe in the calendar year 2009.
While commenting on this, Mr. Ashok Jain (Vice chairman, Jain JISL) said, "This is the single largest order for our dehydrated onion and vegetables division. We have developed high-solid onion varieties, which are helping Indian farmers to produce more and in turn allowing us to give what the International market expects."

Kiev- Yulia Tymoshenko, Ukrainian Prime Minister and populist politician, accused a leading US energy firm Monday of secretly planning to sell sensitive Black Sea gas drilling rights to Russian corporate giant Gazprom.
Executives from the Houston-headquartered Vanco Energy International, a firm that signed an exclusive deep water drilling rights agreement with the Ukrainian government in April, intend to abandon their Ukrainian project and to transfer rights to Gazprom, Tymoshenko charged, according to an Interfax news agency report.
Former Bosnian-Serb leader Karadzic back in The Hague court

Amsterdam - Former Bosnian-Serb president Radovan Karadzic was due to appear before the International Criminal Tribunal for former Yugoslavia (ICTY) in The Hague Monday afternoon in a new preliminary hearing.
The extra preliminary hearing was necessary to approve a revised indictment against Karadzic.
Last Thursday, the prosecution of the UN court finally transferred the translation of all documents to the former Bosnian-Serb leader.
The prosecution had completed the new indictment already in September, but the translation of all underlying evidence was not finished until last week.

Berlin - Two months before a German general election, Chancellor Angela Merkel continued to ride high Wednesday with her main opponent suffering a fresh drop in an opinion poll.
Frank-Walter Steinmeier, a Social Democrat, slumped from 20 to 17 per cent on a survey question, who would you elect chancellor if you could? In fact, voters can only elect the legislature, which then picks the chancellor.
In the weekly poll by the Forsa company, incumbent Merkel's rating on the same question rose from 58 to 60 per cent.
LIC hikes stake in SBI to 10 percent

Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), the largest insurer of the country has announced that it has increased its stake holding in India's major public sector lender, State Bank of India.
The company stated in a communiqué that it has bought 0.03% more stake in the bank and increased its stake to 10.02 per cent.
According to sources, the company has purchased 1, 90,000 shares through an open market transaction.
With this latest transaction, LIC has increased its pre-existing holding of 9.99 per cent to10.02 per cent.
